if you’ve started mobile repairing recently and this time you want to change and replace a mobile phone’s LCD, then you should read these simple and important tips below that we made for you or if you are an experienced repairman, this article would be a little review for you. So lets get start it:
first of all, before you do anything, you have to get familiar with devices’ make up, specially the one that you want to repair it. Usually, make up of mobile phone devices are kind of same, and they all have: a back cover, a frame that holds the motherboard, chassis contains the LCD, LCD itself, front frame, Glass and a sheet between glass and the LCD which is sensitive to touch and recognizes it and its called Digitizer.

Also, don't forget that you have to be equipped with some tools, like screw driver, heat gun, scissor, doubled-sided adhesive tape, work gloves, canned air and a can or a box to put screws in, so they would not get lost. There’s another thing that you need and it’s a vacuum machine. Whenever you want to mount the new glass, air bubbles might stuck under the glass. This machine removes these bubbles by vacuuming.
Disassembling Mobile Parts To Start LCD Repairing:
two different kinds of heat gun
don't forget there are lot of canned air with different brands.
also, there are different types of vacuum machine.
Step 1: remove back cover and phone’s battery.
Step 2: if you see a cable that stuck to somewhere, release it, and then remove the cable from its socket (socket is a thing that cable connects to it).
Note: when you’re removing the tape style cables, you should be careful, because this kind of cables are stick to the frame or other parts by adhesive.
Step 3: unscrew the screws that connects motherboard’s frame to LCD’s chassis so carefully. Then put all of screws into a box or something, so you would not lose them.
Note: your device might have lot of screws, if so, you literally have to be careful and take a real good care of screws not to lose any of them!
Step 4: if you push a bit CAREFULLY, you can remove the back cover from chassis.
Note: check out if you have current in your motherboard still. If there’s no current in the motherboard, go on with the process. But if you have current, it means that there’s screw/screws or cable/cables that still are connected! Check them out (hidden ones!) and unscrew and remove them.
Step 5: remove any cables that show up while you’re disassembling the parts.
Note: keep it in mind that you removed which cable from which socket! Its so important not to forget it. Well there’s trick: whichever the cable you remove, put it on the desk the exact way it was connected before you removed it, so you would easily remember which cable was connected to which socket and how it was connected.
Step 6: remove LCD from front frame and disassemble the glass by unscrewing its screws. Keep its screw in separate box (screws and their holes are so look alike to each other, and you might screw them in the wrong holes, and you would figure it out when you are about to finish assembling, and so you’d have to unscrew them all!)
Note: don’t touch the top of LCD.
Step 7: with heating stuffs, like heat gun, you can remove the adhesive of LCD to remove the damaged glass from the front frame. Don’t forget to wear work gloves while you’re at this process, Because you might break LCD unintentionally.
Note: it’ll take a while till the heat gun removes the adhesive. Also when you’re removing the glass from the frame, be careful not to break LCD.
Changing And Replacing LCD:
Step 1: stick double side adhesive to the parts which has lost their adhesion. Add and stick adhesive as much as you can, but try not to add and stick adhesive to the parts that can be seen, otherwise, mobile phone would look ugly and unappropriated after assembling.
Step 2: after removing Digitizer , its turn to replace it with the new one. Press new digitizer carefully to place it. Now use canned air to remove the dust from LCD.
Note: don’t touch the glass, because if any fingerprints stays behind the glass, you wont be able to clean it after placing it.
Note: when you want to place LCD, put the phone device into the vacuum machine, so your device wont have air bubble under the glass.
assemble each part of device like camera and … . place and assemble chassis, frame, and other parts, as the exact way they were; and that’s all .
