Hi,

I have Asus GL553VD Rev:2.0 motherboard, not switching on

I have started to check voltage lines according to repair guide. First one missing was (6.D9204 5VSUS_PWRGD 566) and seems like IC 8100U is getting hot

do you ohm check 3vo and 5vo from ground and b+ ???? if have problem on one of this line that ic is getting hot . ohm check and replay .

I did check ohm from ground to 3vo (10Kohm) and 5vo (20Kohm). What is b+ ?

5vo drops voltage when board is plugged in

b+ is 19v that come from adaptor . you must check many voltage and signal before 3 and 5 always voltage . like acok , vlp volyages , ....

Oh yes I check voltages like in repair guide I found on Dr.Bios website. (6.D9204 5VSUS_PWRGD 566) This one was missing. I cant find short to ground on 5vo and have already replaced U8100.

Is there any component you suggest I test that could cause voltage drop on 5vo?
