Laptop doesn't display all voltages

I have reprogrammed bios.

When I remove bios chip 3v comes back. With bios chip welded I loose basically all voltages.

See video with bios removed

I removed ITE

re welded bios I had 3v on pins.

i rewelded donor ITE chip now i have the short again and no voltage to bios

SVOD shows ITE busy with all pins ok and new chip, there is something goin on up that side of the board.

I believe the Super IO is connecting to rails that are creating a short?

Im thinkin of removing ITE and Bios then injecting voltage on pin 1 of bios?
Don't do that friend!
Check if you have 3V in VCC_RTC.
Indicate which pin of the serial Flash is shorted, if it is WB, indicate the model to review the datasheet and get an idea. Greetings!

When you measure one end of the inductor, you don't need to measure the other.
Is it an Acer motherboard ?, indicates more details to look at the schematic.
Or if you have it (the diagram), check what state the ignition is in s5, s4, s3, etc.). From the voltages, I see that there is VCC_RTC and the PCH is working. Perhaps it is a BIOS or EC firmware programming failure. Try to get the motherboard working without having to plug in the power button, sometimes that fails.
Silly, but it has happened to all of us at some time.
Good luck!

Hey Mate

yes it s a acer f5-571

the actual board has a power button on the main board, and a secondary through the keyboard

power button on main board has voltage

I ave tried 2 bios chips that read and write fine. i have replaced super IO but with original and donor SVOD comes up as busy as the short is interfering with power to the chip

In your case, I would do the following:
I would check the status of R577, if it is OK, I would replace Y2 (if you can measure the signal before, you can skip the replacement, I mean in the case that you don't have an oscilloscope).
I would also check the status of R528 and D25.
Previously I would isolate the signal in J1, with that I avoid disassembling the ROM (I suppose), and checking the status of C182.
Good luck!
