ME REGION is stored in the latest model of Intel platforms ( Corei ). (I insist that they are not stored on motherboards that use AMD Processor !! So Do not try to fix ME REGION in that case
😐
)
Although ME REGION is stored in BIOS, it has a completely independent function.

Previous articles were about introduction of ME REGION and its fixing ( clear ME REGION )

You might have found a tip after having detected the ME REGION version with the UEFI TOOL software or by using the calculator that There are available two or more me region files with the same version on the website ( Dr-Bios.com ^_^ )! In this case, check the file size:

If it's about 1.5MB its related to consumer systems with chipset models: Hxx, Mxx, Zxx, Xxx

If it's about 6MB, it's corporate systems with the Qxx, QMxx, QSxx chipset models

But in the following versions, in addition to the type of system, you need to check other items: pay attention to following examples

11.6.0.1117_CON_H_XX.bin

11.6.0.1117_CON_LP_XX.bin

As you see, the version of me region is: 11.6.0.1117

CON == Consumer Systems

Which means consumer systems. Such as: Dell Vostro , HP Pavilion ,...

COR == Corporate Systems

Which means corporate systems. Like: Dell Latitude, HP Elitebook, ..

and LP_xx or H_xx refer to the chipset model

So to choose the correct file for modifying the me region of the BIOS, make sure what kind of system you have and what is its chipest model.
