I have this MB with dead keyboard. only power btn. works, tested new keyboard. I can not find the chip that controls the keyboard. any idea?

io is controle the keyboard . do you not find the io ???????

all keyboard lines has 5volts only the ground line is ground. if i press on any key, no change on any line. I tested HP laptop, I can see lines going up and down when pressing keys. can you advice what to check? Thanks

this model have to controller . keyboard controller is near the keyboard slot . u3101 = IT8176FN-56A/BX
this ic is controle the keyboard . replace it and test .

I have replaced that chip and still no keyboard. I got another laptop same model same problem, could it be BIOS problem? can you advice of any test or action, Thanks

ok . you must check many signal that must input to this ic . you should check all of them .
before do that reprogram bios and ec .
