1. Check Charger and Connection:
Ensure the charger is working correctly and the connection to the laptop is secure.
  • 2. Inspect for Physical Damage:
    Look for any visible damage to the charging port or nearby components.


  • 3. Voltage Measurement:
    Use a multimeter to check for 19V at various points in the charging circuit:
    • Charger: Verify the charger is outputting the correct voltage.
  • Charging Port: Check the voltage at the charging port pins.

  • First MOSFET: Test the source, gate, and drain pins of the first MOSFET.


  • 4. MOSFET Testing:
    If the 19V is not present at the drain of the first MOSFET, it could be faulty. Refer to videos explaining how to test MOSFETs.


  • 5. Charging IC:
    If the charging IC is overheating, it may need to be replaced. This is a more complex repair.
