Technical Summary

This Inventec AX1 reference design, documented under board number PC3601 revision VB10 dated March 19, 2007, is built around an Intel Merom 478 CPU platform paired with an ICH8-M southbridge. Graphics are handled by a Crestline GPU in a 676 BGA package. The system uses DDR2 memory across two SODIMM slots. The embedded controller is a KBC1070, and the audio codec is an AD_1981. Power management is handled by a multi-rail architecture including TPS51120, APL5913, SC471, TPS51124, ADP3208, G2998F11U, and G9338 regulators, with a BQ24703 charger supporting both main and travel batteries. The LAN subsystem uses an Intel 82566MM Gigabit controller, and wireless connectivity is provided by a Kahuna Lite2 module. The clock generator is an ICS9LPR355BGLF. Additional features include a RICOH_R5C853 card reader, TPM V1.2, SPI-based HDD protection, a fingerprint reader connector, Bluetooth support, a Cardbus controller, a docking connector, a port replicator, and Robson support. The PCB is identified as 1299 PCB.
