How do we identify the chipset so we know it is broken or infected or short?

Chip failures are various. Which can be divided into 3 categories:

1: Being short: Two methods can be used to diagnose this type of failure.
The first method : ohm checking chip inputs, such as input voltages and input data
Second Method : Inject input voltages into the chip. If the chip gets too hot, it indicates a chip failure.

2: Chip failure during use: This problem is often due to dead solder ball in the bases of the chip, which can be solved with Ribal or Resold.

3: Chip internal blocks do not work: This problem should be investigating by monitoring how the chip works. For example, the pch chip receives all the voltages and signals it needs, but our USBs do not work.

In general, there is no simple way to diagnose most chipset failures, for example, It is not possible to detect chip failure with a simple volt check, and the chip performance should be monitored on the board.
