Most smc chips are programmed with the jtag protocol. svod3 and most of programmer suport jtag protocol . so you can use it .
all of microcontroller like smc , ene , ite .... have inside eeprom that in new microcontroller , it's empty and you must program it .

if you means t1 chip , program it from jtag but in apple platform it is lock . each programer have jtag support can program it but its very very hard to do that . I just saw it and never did

thanks hosein. I am confused. In airbook the i/o for 820-00165-A. The controller chip (980 yfe LM4FS1EH) was faulty . I replaced from the same board. It get on but get stuck on apple logo. Same problem happens if i program bios chip. Any perfect solution ?
