What does tge problem?
latest update files for elitebook 840 g8 :
Take a full backup of both the BIOS and EC chips first.

Then program both chips (BIOS and EC) with the latest files that were provided.

After programming the BIOS, DO NOT power on the laptop.
Make sure both chips are fully programmed before turning the system on.

After powering on, wait at least 3–4 minutes.
During the first boot, the system may restart several times or shut down and power on automatically.
Be patient and allow the programming/initialization process to complete.

Most likely, after this process, the BIOS password issue and the other problems you mentioned will be resolved, unless there is another underlying hardware issue.

Overall, these files are your last chance if the problem is firmware-related.

M.2 is worked before unlock the bios.

Could you take a look please.

HP 840 G8 6050A3426501-MB-A02

Not locked, but not right. Original issue, laptop powers on and shuts down. Unable to flash via USB, locked up on HP logo.

Removed BIOs and flashed. Unit powers up, but EC firmware error. Again can't recover from USB. I believe EC corrupt ?

Attached 3 files. Original : No boot. Flashed : Boots but firmware error. and EC .
